This 1930’s water tower was formerly used to store water in case of fire at the nearby gas works. The client was keen to preserve the local iconic building and appointed SUSD to provide planning advice and architectural proposals for its conversion to a luxury residence. A steel sub-frame, attached to the concrete frame, allowed thermally efficient panel to be hung, creating this single residential home.
